Jamaicanicehockey.caOn the 18th of May, 2012 the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) granted Associate Member status to the country of Jamaica.  A first for a Caribbean nation.  The Jamaican Olympic Ice Hockey Federation was born.  In May of 2017, lead by Graeme Townshend, The Jamaican Olympic Ice Hockey Federation’s Under 20 junior men’s team traveled to Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Canada for the first exposure as a collective on the ice with impressive results.  September 2019, Jamaica’s first men’s team is assembled to play on an International stage.  The previous Pan American Ice Hockey Tournament now the IIHF AmeriGoL LATAM CUP  in Coral Springs Florida was dominated by Team Jamaica.  Jamaica shocked the world by defeating the defending champions in a shootout at the Florida Panthers Ice Den.  Jamaican Ice Hockey has arrived.
