The connection to hockey for those all around the world comes in many different forms.  Especially for Black hockey players,  the link between hockey and poverty is not a connection that is often spoken of.

Well into the 21st century, even in the developed world, hockey continues to be out of the reach for many. The Jermaine Loewen story celebrates those helping others in need by giving a great gift.
