Jamaica born Graeme Townshend

Kingston, Jamaica born Graeme Townshend (October 23, 1965):

The first Jamaican born player to play in the National Hockey League. Graeme Townshend played for teams including the Ottawa Senators, New York Islanders and the Boston Bruins.

Townshend’s achievements as a professional has set a high standard for all those of Caribbean decent that will continue to follow in the great hockey tradition. Jamaica will pursue the professionalism set by Graeme, as he is a great National example.
